An illustrative emotion timeline for Changing Light Three example curves show warmth, dreaminess and energy over a 32-second sample, moving from warm piano to floating textures, a rhythmic lift, a quiet return and a warm resolution. Use the playback position slider to explore the timeline. The curves illustrate a listening interpretation, rather than measured analysis results.

FROM A FEELING TO AN IDEA

A curve is a starting point.
Your ears have the final say.

Follow a feeling across the timeline to see where you might want more of it, or a little less. Listen to the moment in context before choosing your next direction.

Try a direction: Keep the groove, make this moment warmer and more intimate.

ONE STUDIO / THREE WAYS IN

What would you like
to change?

Start with a whole track, zoom into a moment, or explore the music you’re listening to.

01 / HOME

A new take on
your track.

Bring in an audio file or record with your microphone. Describe the change you want, generate a modified version, then switch between Original and Modified to hear what changed.

START WITH A PROMPTMake it dreamy and spacious, with a softer, warmer feel.

Try this: Start with one clear direction. Compare, refine your words, and keep the version you prefer.

02 / INTERVAL STUDIO

A little shift.
In the right place.

Choose a section of your song, explore its emotional direction, and prepare an edit for that interval. Hear the change against the original and in the context of the full track.

Try this: Give a chorus more lift, soften a transition, or explore a different feeling in one passage.

03 / REALTIME WEAVE

A fresh direction
for what’s playing.

Choose Spotify or another audio app as your input, select your headphones or speakers, and describe the sound you want. Press LET’S GO to prepare and hear your music through JoyMetric.

Playback starts after a buffer is prepared. You’ll hear a delay from the source; new adjustments apply to upcoming sections. Press STOP to end JoyMetric playback.

  3. 03

    Listen both ways.

Compare Original and Modified at the same moment. Refine the direction until you find a version you like.

  4. 04

See JoyMetric for Mac
What can I use as a starting point?

Import an audio file from your computer, record with your microphone in Home, or choose a playing app in Realtime Weave. Home accepts WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC and OGG files.

Can I hear the original alongside my edit?

Yes. Original and Modified playback let you compare your starting point with your new version. You can explore alternatives before saving or exporting.

Where does my music go?

Music processing runs on your computer, and your saved projects and audio stay in your local JoyMetric library. Your account is used for purchasing, downloads and activating your computers.

Does Realtime Weave play instantly?

It prepares a starting buffer before playback, so the sound you hear is delayed. The preparation time and playback delay depend on your Mac, the audio and your settings. Choose your Audio Out before starting.

How do I get started on my Mac?

Sign in on the website, purchase JoyMetric or open your existing purchase, and download the Apple Silicon Mac edition. Move JoyMetric from the DMG into Applications, open it, and connect your account to activate that computer. Allow system audio recording when using app audio, or microphone access when recording.

Can I use my purchase on another computer?

Your purchase supports up to three activated computers. You can download and reinstall on the same computer without using another computer slot. Find your downloads in My account.
